Your coating is curing. Give it a week, then enjoy easy washes.
XPEL FUSION PLUS hardens over the first several days. Once cured, it makes your car easier to clean and harder to stain. The first week is the one that matters.
No washing, and keep it out of the rain where you can, for 7 days.
Do
- ✓Hand wash with a pH-neutral soap and a clean microfiber mitt. Rinse well, dry with a soft towel or blower.
- ✓Dry water off after rain or sprinklers, especially in the first month.Hard-water spots can bond to a fresh coating if they bake in the sun.
- ✓Remove bird droppings, bugs and sap promptly with a quick detailer or a rinse.
- ✓Use a ceramic-safe maintenance spray every few washes to keep the water beading strong. Ask us which one we recommend.
- ✓Book an annual check-in. We’ll inspect, decontaminate and top up the coating so it keeps performing.
Don’t
- ✕Don’t wash or apply anything for 7 days after installation.
- ✕Don’t use automatic car washes with brushes. They scratch, and the harsh chemicals shorten a coating’s life.
- ✕Don’t apply wax or paint sealant over the coating. It doesn’t need it, and it can dull the effect.
- ✕Don’t use abrasive polishes or clay bars on coated paint. That’s a job for the shop.
- ✕Don’t wash in direct sun on a hot panel. Soap dries too fast and spots.
